Nylon
6
Nylon 6 also known as Polyamide, is characterized by a combination of
high strength, toughness and abrasion resistance and is ranked as an
Engineering Plastic. This is because of its unique balance of
mechanical, thermal, frictional and chemical properties. Nylon behaves
in a predictable, reproducible manner under load and in known
environments. Engineers and designers are looking to nylon as a
substitute for design material such as phosphor bronze, gunmetal, cast
iron, copper, aluminium and the entire family of steels.
Nylon is well accepted for several engineering applications. It is
tough and hard, with good mechanical properties, high resistance to
abrasion and impact and low friction properties.
Extruded Rods:
3mm to 9" diameter in standard lengths of 300mm, 1000mm, 4 ft.,
bigger cut to size & roll lengths.
Extruded
Square Rods:
3/4" to 3" square (across flat) in standard 300mm, 1000mm, 4
ft., and non-standard lengths.
Extruded
Sheets & Flat Strips:
0.2mm to 70mm thickness in width 300mm to 1000mm in roll length &
ct to length up to 3000mm

Nylon
66
Nylon 66 material bears higher mechanical strength, stiffness,
hardness, toughness, heat and excellent wear resistance than Nylon
"6". Nylon 66 has the highest melting point & it is the
strongest and the most rigid of all unmodified nylons. It also has
good sliding properties; better creep resistance but its impact
strength and mechanical damping ability are reduced.
This product also has outstanding resistance to alkalies and organic
materials, as well as good electrical insulating characteristics.
Modified & specialty grades are offered for defined industrial
applications.
Rods:
6mm
to 200mm diameter in 300mm, 1000mm & bigger lengths.
Flats: Small sized sheets & flats are produced against specific
orders only.
Tubes & Hollow Rods can be offered on request subject to quantity.

Polyacetal
(Polyoxymethylene - POM)
Polyacetal (Polyoxymethylene - POM) is a widely used crystalline
engineering thermoplastic popularly known as DelrinŽ which is a
homopolymer Polyacetal which exhibits slightly different
characteristics in copolymer grades. Polyacetal is characterized as
having an excellent combination of physical properties that makes it
suitable for numerous industrial applications.
Polyacetal has the following characteristics:
-
Outstanding
wear resistance
-
Low
coefficient of friction
-
Outstanding
chemical resistance
-
Excellent
mechanical properties (i.e. strength & stiffness)
-
Good
temperature resistance

Polyacetal is used in many static & dynamic
industrial applications replacing materials like; steel brass, bronze,
copper and aluminium. Polyacetal have improved part life because of;
better wear, more chemical and corrosion resistance. These materials
reduce factory noise and will reduce or eliminate the need for
lubricants.
Polyacetal can be used in applications such as; Gears, Bushings,
Bearings, Rollers, Timing Screws, manifolds, Valves and Valve Bodies,
Washers, Wear Pads, and many industrial machine parts.
Polyacetal
Rods:
1/4" to 8" diameter in standard lengths of 300mm, up to 5
ft.
Polyacetal
Sheets & Flat Strips:
6mm to 80mm in standard widths up to 300mm, 600mm, 1000mm in lengths
of 1000mm, 4 ft., 2000mm.
Polyacetal Square
Rods:
3/4" to 3" square (across flat) in 300mm, 1000mm & 4 ft.
lengths.
